  • Children's Boxes (Childhood mementos, annuals, etc.)
  • Specific Antiques (Give description and location)
  • Jewelry (Only valuable and sentimental jewelry)
  • Computers (At least grab back-up discs)
  • Silver
  • China/Crystal

Everyone will have different items on their list.

Perhaps the most important things to remember are:

1. List the items that are of most importance to you BEFORE an emergency, while you are thinking clearly.

2. Have your 72-hour packs ready and up to date. There may not be any services available for some time. BE PERSONALLY PREPARED so you do not have to depend on anyone.

3. Give locations of your precious items. You may not be the one doing the evacuating.

4. Have all family members participate in the making of the list. What is important to you might not be as important to someone else in the family. Limited space and time will mean making choices.

5. Corral animals in their cages while you gather other items. Hunting animals at the last moment can be dangerous.

6. In extreme emergencies, GET OUT. YOUR LIFE IS WHAT MATTERS!!!
